• 書名の『PEEK-A-BOOK』はもちろん「PEEK-A-BOO（いないいないばあ）」のもじり。サブタイトルの「たのしい知識」は、ジャン・リュック・ゴダール監督の映画「Le GaiSavoir」の邦訳から引用しました。このように、全編がちょっとした知識を楽しむために、各々の知識の関連性をあえて排して純粋に知識だけが浮上することをめざしています。
  　しかも、本の形が、スタンリー・キューブリック監督の映画「2001: A Space Odyssey」に登場した謎の黒色板モノリスと同じ比率（背幅1：本の横幅4：縦9）になっていて、それがボタン付きのビニール・カバーに収まっています。本の形にも知識がまとわりついている、といううるさい本です。

• The title, “Peek-A-Book,” is of course a play on “peek-a-boo,” while the subtitle, “Enjoyable Knowledge,” was borrowed from the Japanese title of Jean-Luc Godard’ s movie Le Gai Savoir. Thus, in order to be able to enjoy all the small pieces of knowledge in the whole book, I strived to eliminate the relationship between the pieces so that only pure knowledge remained.
  　The shape of the book has the same propor tions as the mysterious black monolith that appears in Stanley Kubrick’ s movie 2001: A Space Odyssey (spine width: 1, page width: 4, height: 9), and it comes in a vinyl cover that is closed with a button. It is a book that is really fussy about knowledge, down to the details of its design.
